Ingredients
Method
- Tequila Soaked Pineapple: Place pineapple wedges and lime slices in a shallow dish. Cover with tequila, ensuring wedges are mostly submerged. Soak for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight.
- Prepare Garnish: Remove pineapple from tequila soak. You can use these wedges for serving, sprinkled with salt and chili powder, or blend them into the drink.
- Blend Base: In a blender, combine the cubed fresh pineapple and limeade. Blend until smooth.
- Assemble Chelada: Pour the blended mixture over crushed ice in glasses. Add Mexican beer and gold tequila (if using). Stir gently to combine.
- Garnish and Serve: Garnish with the tequila-soaked pineapple wedges and lime slices. A mint leaf can add extra freshness if desired.
