Ingredients
  

  • 5 cups raw mixed nuts (cashews, almonds, pecans, walnuts)
  • 1/3 cup Thrive Culinary Algae Oil
  • 1 tbsp nutritional yeast (optional)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried dill
  • 1 tsp dried chives
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp sea salt

Method
 

  1. Pre-heat oven to 325ยบ F.
  2. In a small bowl combine the algae oil and all seasonings (nutritional yeast, garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill, dried chives, dried parsley, paprika, sea salt) and mix well to combine.
  3. Add the mixed nuts to a large pan. Drizzle with the seasoned oil mixture and toss so that all of the nuts are evenly coated.
  4. Roast in the oven for 20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes to prevent burning and ensure even roasting.
  5. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely on the pan. The nuts will crisp up as they cool.
  6. Store cooled nuts in a sealed container or mason jar for up to 4 weeks at room temperature.

- For the crispiest ranch roasted nuts, ensure your oven is fully preheated and use a single layer on a large baking sheet to prevent steaming.
- If you don't have algae oil, I've found that avocado oil or light olive oil are excellent substitutes, providing a neutral base that lets the ranch flavors shine.
